Joshua Dean, Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems' former employee, died aged 45. He joined Spirit in 2019, was laid off during COVID-19 in 2020, but was rehired in May 2021 as quality auditor. In October 2022, he found mechanics improperly drilling holes in 737 MAX's aft pressure bulkhead. Dean alleged he was fired in 2023 for flagging 737 MAX production defects.
