Tej Pratap, in a note to his father and RJD chief Lalu Yadav, mentioned "greedy people like Jaichand" who are 'doing politics' with him. According to the epic poem Prithviraj Raso, Gahadavala dynasty's ruler Jaichand allied with foreign powers against king Prithviraj Chauhan after his daughter eloped with the latter. The term 'Jaichand' has hence, become synonymous with a 'traitor'.
