Who was Marshal Arjan Singh, IAF's lone 5-star officer?

Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh became the first and only IAF officer to be promoted to five-star rank, in 2002. He joined the service in 1938 aged 19, later taking charge as the third Indian Chief of Air Staff in 1964. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1965 for his contributions to the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
