Sarah Beckstrom, one of two National Guard members injured in the Washington DC shooting on Wednesday, passed away. She was 20 years old and began her service in June 2023 with the West Virginia National Guard. She was later moved to Washington and reportedly volunteered to work on the day she passed away, which happened to be the Thanksgiving holiday.
