Lead singer of India's first rock band 'Moheener Ghoraguli' was Gautam Chattopadhyay. Gautam and his bandmates spoke about politics, revolution, love, poverty, injustice & freedom through their songs. He was allegedly involved in Naxalbari movement which may have influenced his music. With diversity of lyrics and stage performance, he gave music in Bengal a form that was revolutionary for 1970s.
