The Day 1 of Hockey India League auction took place on Sunday. Indian men's hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh was the biggest buy, being bought by Soorma HC for ₹78 lakh. He is followed by Abhishek, who was bought by Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers for ₹72 lakh. Hardik Singh was bought by UP Rudras for ₹70 lakh.
