India batter Smriti Mandhana was the most expensive player of the previous Women's Premier League (WPL) auction. She was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹3.4 crore. She was followed by Australia all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner and England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt, who were bought by Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians, respectively for ₹3.2 crore each.
