The Supreme Court rejected a PIL seeking a ban on the sale of liquor in tetra packs in Uttar Pradesh, asking the petitioner to approach state authorities. The plea said such packs were reaching educational institutions and spoiling the atmosphere. The court responded that packaging would not determine consumption patterns, noting "Whoever wants to buy, they'll buy".
