The Wholesale Price Index (WPI)-based inflation for the month of July expanded to a 22-month high of 3.55% year-on-year, as against 1.62% in June, according to data released on Tuesday. The index read (-)4.05% in the corresponding month of the previous year. Further, the food prices inflation climbed to 11.82% year-on-year, compared to 8.18% in June.
