Why 35% of restaurants in India want to quit food delivery apps?

A study by the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) and Prosus found that 35.4% of restaurants want to quit food delivery platforms. This is primarily because the average per-order commission charged by these platforms increased from 9.6% in 2019 to 24.6% in 2023, a substantial share of the bill value. Poor customer service is also a reason.
