Spouse cannot seek partition of Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) property because they are member, not coparcener, experts said. Only coparceners, those born into or adopted into family, can demand partition. However, if partition takes place, spouse receives share equal to that of son or daughter in husband's HUF. Since spouse isn't coparcener, they cannot file for partition of HUF assets.
