Why are bank employees going on a 3-day nationwide strike?

Public Sector Bank employees from all over the country are set to go on a three-day nationwide strike from September 28 to 30. The employees have two main demands: implementation of a five-day banking week and withdrawal of Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. Although government has put PLI scheme on pause, there has been no communication over five-day workweek demand.
