Colossal Biosciences has announced birth of three dire wolf puppies. The species has been extinct for nearly 12,500 years. Two male dire wolves have been named Romulus and Remus, after mythological twin founders of Rome, who were said to have been raised by a wolf. Another female puppy is named Khaleesi in an homage to Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen.
