Tomato prices have surged to over ₹80 per kilogram in several locations. According to reports, a price jump of about 50% has been recorded in the last 10 to 15 days. Several traders have attributed the increase in prices to significant crop damage due to excessive rainfall in October, supply disruptions from states and strong demand amid ongoing wedding season.
