Why can a home loan be rejected despite a 780 credit score?

When applying for a home loan, credit score isn't the only factor lenders consider, according to Tata Capital Housing Finance's Sarosh Amaria. "A score of 780 indicates a strong repayment track record, but the final assessment looks at the borrower's overall financial profile," he said. This includes income and employment stability, existing EMIs and the property's value, Amaria added.
