Why can an approved insurance claim still face payment delays?

An insurance claim being approved does not always mean the money is released immediately. IBAI President Narendra Bharindwal said errors in bank or KYC details, name or account mismatches, pending discharge or consent documents and beneficiary verification can cause delays. Hospitals, TPAs, surveyors and repairers may also need to complete their part of the process before payment is released.
