OpenAI's ChatGPT often gives inconsistent responses when asked about the current time, as it is designed to generate answers based on its training data that doesn't include real-time information. It has a context window, or portion of information remembered at any given time. Every time ChatGPT consults a system clock, it adds a piece of information to that context window.
