When asked whether it was dangerous that the fuel storage sits under the seats, Frank Walliser, CEO of Bentley, said it is among the safest places because it lies between the axles, which is also where passengers sit. Crumple zones absorb impact outside the axles at the front and rear, while side protection surrounds the cabin.
