India could face difficult weather in 2026 as global climate signals point to possible return of El Nino, according to WMO. El Nino is a natural climate pattern where sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean become warmer than usual. India may experience weaker monsoon rainfall and higher temperatures and heat stress if current forecasts hold true.
