Reacting to Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law Giribala Singh's remarks that Twisha was a drug-addict and refused to have child, Rashi Sharma, sister-in-law of Twisha, said, "Why is a dead person being defamed right, left, and centre?" She also called Giribala's claims "shocking". Giribala had also called Twisha a "troubled personality". Twisha was found dead at her marital home on May 12.
