Amazon has shed seven-year-old code name of its satellite internet venture "Project Kuiper" and rebranded it as Amazon Leo. The new name has been given to highlight that the system is powered by satellites in low Earth orbit. Amazon Leo satellites will orbit between 590 and 630 kilometres and will offer broad coverage with lower latency than traditional satellite internet.
