Skies turned green in Dubai recently due to a rare weather phenomenon that occurs with storm clouds with substantial depth. As per experts, water/ice particles in storm clouds scatter blue light. "When reddish light scattered by atmosphere illuminates the blue water/ice droplets in [clouds], they'll appear to glow green," reports quoted US' National Weather Service officials as saying.
