Why did India win by runs despite batting second against NZ?
India were chasing 135 against New Zealand but had reached only 113/7 in 26 overs when rain ended play on Saturday. Under Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, a rain-shortened chase is judged against a par score calculated using the overs bowled and wickets lost. India's par score was 109 at the stoppage. Since they had scored 113, India won by four runs.
