The biggest reason for Indian stock market crashing on Monday was oil prices crossing $100/barrel mark globally. This raised concerns about a rise in petrol and diesel prices, and a surge in inflation, which typically weighs on stocks. Foreign investors selling equities is also another reason as in last four trading sessions, they pulled off ₹21,000 crore from Indian equities.
