Odyssey Marine Exploration (OMEX) stock surged nearly 150% pre-market after agreeing to merge with American Ocean Minerals Corp to form a $1 billion deep-sea mining firm. The deal includes $175 million in cash and leadership by ex-Rio Tinto CEO Tom Albanese. Odyssey also announced a 25-for-1 reverse stock split prior to closing.
