Wipro's share price on Tuesday was shown to be slashed by around 50% from Monday's closing price on trading apps. They opened at ₹295.50 on Tuesday, after closing at ₹584.55 on Monday. It's because shares turned ex-date for bonus issue in 1:1 ratio, leading to share price being halved. Shareholders will receive one bonus share for every share they own.
