Why digital ad spend has surpassed TV in India

For the first time, digital ad revenue in India has overtaken television's total earnings, including subscriptions. Driven by e-commerce and quick commerce platforms, digital now commands 32% of media revenue. As viewers spend over five hours daily on mobiles, advertisers are shifting focus. TV is losing steam, with ad buyers dropping 23% year-on-year, as per Elara and EY-FICCI reports.
