Why do mosquitoes bite some people and not others?

Mosquitoes are attracted to the chemical scents emitted by people, based on their genes. Potentially blood O type is more attractive to mosquitoes. Other theories suggest that mosquitoes might be more attracted to people with high cholesterol or those who have excess amounts of uric acid. Furthermore, individuals drinking beer also attract mosquitos.
