Why do we have body odour?

Sweat, which has no smell, produces body odour when sweat gets into the folds of the skin where bacteria thrive. The bacteria eat the compounds found in sweat, and produce molecules that emit body odour. Additionally, diets can also affect the odour, with sulphur-rich meals enhancing the bad smell.
