Why does Earth have only one moon and other planets have multiple?

Earth has only one moon primarily because it likely formed through a giant impact event with a Mars-sized object colliding with Earth. This collision ejected debris that eventually coalesced into Moon. In contrast, other planets either gravitationally captured multiple moons within their Hill sphere radius or formed them alongside the planet during the early stages of the solar system's evolution.
