Why Does Your Keyboard Start with QWERTY?

The QWERTY keyboard layout was created in the 1870s by Christopher Latham Sholes to reduce jamming in early typewriters by spacing commonly used letter pairs apart. While modern keyboards no longer face such mechanical limitations and more efficient layouts exist, QWERTY remains the global standard due to widespread adoption and familiarity among users worldwide.
