As many as 10 unions have organised a Bharat Bandh on Thursday. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha called the bandh to protest against the US-India trade deal, calling it a betrayal. Unions are also protesting against the new labour codes, claiming that they weaken workers' rights. The unions are also seeking restoration of MGNREGS and the old pension scheme.
