The government has abolished the qualifying percentile for NEET PG this year as a one-time measure to fill up the clinical and non-clinical seats that have remained vacant till now. The move will allow more doctors to get postgraduate and specialisation degrees. The Indian Medical Association and Federation of Resident Doctors' Association had raised the demand to reduce cut-offs earlier.
