There has been a rise in sales of Canadian flag as tensions with neighbouring US fuelled a wave of patriotism. The owner of Canadian flagmaker Flags Unlimited attributed the spike in demand to threats from US President Donald Trump over Canadian sovereignty. Trump has repeatedly talked about absorbing Canada as the 51st state of the US.
