Why have Amul and Mother Dairy increased milk prices?

Amul and Mother Dairy raised milk prices due to higher production and operating costs. GCMMF increased fresh pouch milk by ₹ 2 per litre, about 2.5-3.5%, citing rising cattle feed, packaging film, fuel, and other expenses. Farmers' procurement prices were also raised by ₹30/kg of fat. The revision aims to support farmers' income while covering costs and sustaining supply.
