Why is Friday the 13th considered unlucky?
short by Sanira Mediratta / on Friday, 13 January, 2017
The fear of 'Friday the 13th' is called paraskavedekatriaphobia and is based on the fear of the number 13 and Fridays. The superstition is believed to have Biblical origins, wherein 13 people were present at the 'Last Supper'. Additionally, Jesus was believed to have been crucified on a Friday, and Adam and Eve ate the 'forbidden fruit' on a Friday.
