Nestlé is recalling certain batches of its SMA, BEBA and NAN infant formula and follow-on formula in countries across Europe due to the potential presence of the toxin, cereulide. The toxin is produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus and can cause nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps. Austria health ministry stated the recall is the largest in Nestlé's history, Reuters reported.
