November 11 is celebrated as National Education Day in India every year, commemorating the birth anniversary of independent India's first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Bharat Ratna recipient was not only responsible for streamlining Indian education system but also foresaw the establishment of the first IIT, IISc, and the University Grants Commission in his tenure.
