The world's largest inland body of water, Caspian Sea, has become an important strategic corridor for Russia and Iran. The sea provides a direct economic route largely shielded from Western military presence. The corridor helps transport sanctioned goods, drone components and dual-use technologies between Iran, which is at war with the US, and Russia, which is at war with Ukraine.
