The Indian rupee fell to a record low of 95.82 against the US dollar on Thursday. The decline came as global pressures stemming from the war in West Asia continued to weigh on emerging-market currencies. Elevated crude oil prices, sustained foreign portfolio outflows, and a persistently strong US dollar have added pressure on India's external balances, deteriorating rupee value.
