Why is the India-Pakistan border called the Radcliffe Line?

The boundary demarcation line between India and Pakistan was named after its architect, Sir Cyril Radcliffe who was commissioned by the British to examine the territories that needed to be allocated for both countries upon Partition. The western side of the line serves as the Indo-Pakistan border while the eastern side serves as the India-Bangladesh border.
