Why is tonight's full Moon called the 'Pink Moon'?

The 'Pink Moon', the second full moon of the spring, rises Tuesday and will be visible until Thursday, NASA said. The name comes from the flowers of herb moss pink, also known as creeping phlox, moss phlox or mountain phlox, a herbaceous plant native to US that blooms during this time of year. Notably, the moon does not appear pink.
