The 114th Shad Suk Mynsiem ended today at Weiking Ground, Shillong, with over 1,500 dancers taking part across three days. Celebrated every April, the festival also known as the Dance of Peaceful Hearts- marks the start of the agricultural season. The dance reflects Khasi matrilineal traditions, with women at the centre and men forming a protective circle.
