The terms 'Durbar' and 'Hall' have reportedly been replaced to "make the ambience of the Rashtrapati Bhavan reflective of the Indian cultural values and ethos". Notably, 'Ganatantra Mandap' is the venue of important ceremonies like the presentation of national awards.
