Why renewable energy can’t fix India’s power crisis

India's renewable boom faces a structural bottleneck and that is power can't be delivered when and where it's needed. With ~200 GW installed, lack of transmission and storage means up to 35 GW may go unused. Solar peaks in daytime, demand peaks at night, and grid gaps make renewables an incomplete solution in the current energy crisis.
