Veteran Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India and the National School of Drama, began in theatre before becoming an assistant director in films. Aamir Khan shared in an interview that he got rejected by Kaushik for the assistant director role in Mr India, recalling the ironic reason involving a car.
