National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) asked members to "inspect the terms and conditions thoroughly and then make an informed decision" before joining Zomato and Swiggy's new dine-in programmes. The schemes offer discounts and allow customers to pay bills through apps. "Question here is why should a restaurant pay a commission...to offer a discount to its own customer?" NRAI argued.
