Why was eyewitness' video rejected as evidence in Pehlu lynching case?
short by Pragya Swastik / on Thursday, 15 August, 2019
The video purportedly shot by an eyewitness when Pehlu Khan was being assaulted was rejected as evidence by Rajasthan's Alwar court in the absence of its certification by Forensic Science Laboratory. Yesterday, six people accused in the 2017 Pehlu Khan lynching case were acquitted. In April 2017, some cow vigilantes allegedly beat Khan, following which he died at a hospital.
