Writer-producer Vinta Nanda criticised Imtiaz Ali's comments on casting couch. While speaking at IFFI Goa, Imtiaz said the "belief that compromising will improve your chances in the film industry is a myth". He also said actresses are safe on the sets now. Vinta responded, "Why has IFFI Goa selected him to speak on behalf of women? Is it to whitewash...truth?"
