Why was Maradona's goal against England in 1986 WC called 'Hand of God' goal?

Argentine legend Diego Maradona, who passed away aged 60 today, scored the opening goal against England in 1986 World Cup quarter-final using his hand in the 51st minute. It came to be known as the 'Hand of God' goal after Maradona said that it was scored "a little with the head of Maradona and a little with hand of God".
